The Company HelpSoq

Harpert Wouters

Many start-ups start out as a personal mission. The same goes for HelpSoq.

Harpert Wouters, founder of HelpSoq saw how his father struggled putting on therapeutic compression stockings: an almost impossible task.

That gave him the idea of a professional, electric solution. That was not an easy mission. In collaboration with NPK, one of the best design agencies in the Netherlands, the design was worked on for more than a year, after which it could eventually be patented.

Harpert teamed up with his brother and three specialists to bring the innovation to the market. In the meantime, the HelpSoq has become the most professional solution for putting on compression stockings on a daily basis: for patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals.

We work together with many healthcare professionals.

An innovation years in the making

HelpSoq makes the demanding task of putting on compression stockings manageable for almost everyone. Especially for the many thousands of care professionals who assist patients every morning. What’s more, some patients are now able to put on their stockings independently, giving them a far greater sense of freedom.

Developing a truly new solution like HelpSoq requires deep expertise, perseverance, and significant investment. It also depends on a strong network of healthcare experts, advisers, investors and suppliers. And, of course, the many care professionals who were willing to test and evaluate the device. Taken together, this makes it all the more remarkable that HelpSoq exists today.
