What does the HelpSoq cost?
For nursing, residential care and home care organisations, the HelpSoq is considered a capital asset. There are two ways to implement the HelpSoq.
The most popular option is the flexible subscription. With this model, your organisation pays a fixed monthly fee per device and can cancel the ongoing rental on a month-by-month basis, depending on your needs. The fixed monthly rental price for the HelpSoq is €55 excluding 9% VAT (2026 rate). The Arm Extender is available at an additional €10 per month, excluding 9% VAT. A minimum initial term of three months applies.
The alternative is to purchase the HelpSoq outright using your own funds. The purchase price depends on the number of devices or sets, the chosen service and maintenance agreement, and the current price list. Please contact us for further details.

How does the HelpSoq work with different types of stockings?
For occupational therapists, care staff and other professionals, we have created this 10-minute video, which provides clear insight into how to use the HelpSoq.
If you prefer reading rather than watching a video, you will find the same tips in written form on this page. A thorough read will make you an expert.
If you still have specific or specialist questions afterwards, the best option is to give us a call.
Which types of stockings can be used with the HelpSoq?
All therapeutic compression stockings in classes 2, 3 and 4 can be applied using the HelpSoq, with the exception of Small and Extra Small sizes. These are indicated on the label as Small (S) or Extra Small (XS). It is not possible to use these stockings with the HelpSoq. Attempting to do so may result in damage to the device, potentially beyond repair. This also applies to the stockings themselves.
For made-to-measure compression stockings, a code is shown: the designation cB. This refers to the smallest circumference of the leg, at the ankle. If the circumference at this point is equal to or greater than 22 cm, the stocking is suitable for use with the HelpSoq. In other words, all stockings labelled with a cB value of 22 or higher are compatible.
In addition, most stockings from the Berlink range fit well on the HelpSoq. Whether these stockings have an open toe or a closed toe makes no difference. Many thigh-high stockings can also be used with the HelpSoq. What is not suitable, however, are full pantyhose (with both legs connected). These cannot be applied using the HelpSoq.
Do my stockings wear out more quickly when using the HelpSoq?
No. Stockings do not wear out any faster than they would without using the HelpSoq — this has been extensively tested. The key condition is that the correct stocking size is used in combination with the HelpSoq.
Rule: if the patient’s ankle circumference is 22 cm or more, the stocking size is suitable for use with the HelpSoq. To maintain proper compression, stockings should preferably be washed daily in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Regardless of how compression stockings are applied, some degree of wear is inevitable. With the HelpSoq, however, this wear is certainly no greater than with other methods. When placing the stocking onto the HelpSoq, there is no “peak load” on the fabric. This type of strain does occur when stockings are applied by hand, and also with many mechanical aids. With the HelpSoq, preparation is gradual and remains well within the tolerances of the stocking fabric, helping to preserve its strength and elasticity.
Please note: if a stocking is rolled onto the ring and then left overnight before being put on by the user, this may cause wear to the fabric. After rolling the stocking onto the device, it should therefore be applied immediately.
Is the HelpSoq suitable for fragile legs?
The HelpSoq is particularly well suited for fragile legs. The stocking does not slide over the skin; instead, it settles gently onto the leg without causing friction. For vulnerable legs with wounds, inflammation or dressings, the HelpSoq offers a safe and virtually pain-free solution. It is also a risk-free aid for patients with thrombosis. Applying the stocking does not create painful pressure on the skin, and the stocking settles softly onto the leg without further movement.
The ring from which the stocking is rolled is smoothly finished on the inside. When opening it, there is no risk of injury or discomfort. In fact, the ring does not need to come into contact with the skin at all. If it does, it is not felt.
Will the ring bump against the leg?
The plastic ring is smooth and rounded on the inside, with no sharp edges. This makes it very suitable for use on delicate or vulnerable skin when applying the stocking. For patients with leg ulcers, the HelpSoq offers a safe method of application.
There is, however, one rare exception worth noting. When using a thigh-high stocking, there is often a point on the leg where the ring may become tight. The circumference of the ring is approximately 40 cm, and the leg may have a similar circumference at a certain point. In that case, it is best to slide as much of the remaining stocking as possible off the ring and onto the leg. At that point, the ring will need to be opened, even if part of the stocking is still wrapped around it. If this opening action is done too hesitantly, there is a risk that the ring halves may snap back together, potentially catching a small piece of skin. It is therefore important to instruct users of thigh-high stockings on how to avoid this.
Is the HelpSoq suitable for larger or heavier legs?
The HelpSoq can also support independence for patients with larger or heavier legs. Most patients are able to guide the ring with the compression stocking relatively easily over the foot and heel — which is typically the most difficult part of putting on compression stockings.
At the point where the leg circumference becomes too large for the ring (approximately 40 cm or more), the ring needs to be opened. At that stage, the user should slide as much of the stocking as possible off the ring and onto the leg by hand. The ring is then opened in one firm, decisive movement, ensuring that the two halves do not snap back together. Once the ring halves are clear of the leg, the remainder of the stocking can be pulled up by hand.
In more extreme cases, the HelpSoq may not provide a suitable solution.
Does the HelpSoq have a rechargeable battery?
The device is supplied as standard with a power adapter for connection to the mains. In addition, an optional rechargeable battery is available. This can be charged overnight, allowing multiple stockings to be applied in the morning without being connected to the mains.
Can the HelpSoq also remove compression stockings?
Is using the HelpSoq physically demanding?
No. The HelpSoq is an electric aid that takes over the physical effort involved in putting on therapeutic compression stockings. The stocking is placed onto the device without force, after which the HelpSoq automatically rolls it onto a ring. This ring, with the rolled stocking, can then be easily removed from the device and guided over the foot and lower leg with minimal effort.
For clients who are unable to bend or have limited reach, the HelpSoq can be combined with an Arm Extender. Whether used with or without the Arm Extender, no strength, manual dexterity or specific technique is required.
When applied by a care professional, the physical strain is also minimal. Once the ring with the stocking is positioned over the foot, the client can – if able – pull the ring further up themselves. Alternatively, the professional can do this from an ergonomically sound seated position beside the client. In both cases, physical effort remains negligible.
How do you clean the HelpSoq?
As the HelpSoq is used to apply therapeutic elastic compression stockings (TEK), it is assumed that clean stockings are used. Stockings should be washed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, preferably every other day at 40°C, and dried in a dry, well-ventilated area. With two pairs of TEK stockings per year, you can alternate and you always have a clean pair available.
The HelpSoq itself can be cleaned using a microfibre cloth when visible dirt or stains are present. The cloth may be lightly dampened with a household cleaning product. For dusting, a dry cloth is sufficient.
During cleaning, the motor can be switched on so that the rollers continue to turn. Hold the microfibre cloth gently against the individual rollers to clean them. Afterwards, clean all other parts of the HelpSoq, including the ring, using the same cloth.
The client has difficulty bending down. Is the HelpSoq the solution?
Yes, absolutely. In this case, the HelpSoq should be used in combination with the Arm Extender. With this set, the client can put on both stockings independently while seated on a chair. Instructions on how this works can be found on our instruction page.
Is the HelpSoq easy to take with you?
The HelpSoq is designed for use in a fixed location near a power outlet, typically in the patient’s home. Taking the device with you while travelling carries certain risks, as rough handling may cause damage. We therefore do not provide warranty for damage resulting from transport during travel.
The HelpSoq weighs approximately 2.5 kg and fits in a bag or backpack. The power adapter and cable are, of course, included.
Is the HelpSoq a sustainable product?
The HelpSoq incorporates many sustainable features. While it is not yet a fully circular product, a significant number of its components can be reused or recycled at the end of its lifecycle. The HelpSoq has been designed with sustainability in mind, and we actively encourage the return of used devices so that as many parts as possible can be reused.
The HelpSoq is manufactured in the Netherlands. Production takes place in Sevenum, with assembly in Helmond. This means we do not rely on labour in countries without protected working conditions.
